Don't get me wrong guys, I'm really dissapointed about the shows being cancelled but do you really want to see a band whose hearts aren't in it? The Fratellis are amazing live and I'm pretty sure I would feel worse if I went to see them and they sucked or looked like they didn't care that they were performing...those are the options: perform exhausted and begrudgingly or not at all. If the band has the good sense to rest when they need to, being pissed off or butt hurt about their decision isn't going to solve anything or even make you feel better about the whole thing.

Yeah I understand that if they can't perform they cant! But you can't blame me for being sad and feeling horrible. I'm in no way gonna stop being a Fratellis fan because of this or hate them for cancelling. Shit happens!

It just seemed like they were getting a lot of shit here that they don't deserve. If you really want to be pissed off, good fine, but if you want to talk about what asshole's they are for canceling the dates I think that maybe you (not you personally but "you" generally) should take half a second to consider the reasoning behind it, I mean we have had faith this far that the boys aren't idiots or assholes to their fans. And it seems pretty selfish to condemn them for doing what they think is best for them.

Agree =]

no one knows what it is like to be in a fast moving band, i would like to see the fans putting their faith in the band that put their faith in their fans.
the reason they are fucked is because they have done nothing but stand up for their fans for the last two years with virtually no breaks.
SO GET A GRIP AND WAIT AND SEE

Well said! If you check out their schedule they have had little or no real break for the last 2 years. And trust me as a fan from early on, the last thing the guys would have wanted to do was cancel. They are a new band and all this has happened really quickly for them. I'm pretty sure the greatest pleasure they get is playing live for the fans that love them. They will make it up to you I'm sure of it.

OMG what horrible news! The only reason I was going to the BRMC show was for the Fratellis.

=[

This sucks!!!

That IS horrible news. Does anybody know if you can get a refund on the tickets when it’s not the headlining act that cancels? (If not, I’m heading over to eBay...)

Hello,

I'm writing to tell you, The Fratellis, or whomever runs this site, that I am really disappointed that the show (with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) in Seattle on May 13th has been cancelled.

I purchased my tickets the day they went on sale expressly because I wanted to see The Fratellis perform. I have no idea who BRMC is and have no desire at all to see them.

It is the policy of Ticketmaster and The Showbox, where the performance was to have been, to only provide refunds when the headliner cancels the show.

Here is my ticketmaster invoice including the cost of the tickets. I cannot afford to pay for something I did not receive. It just doesn't seem at all OK that you can cancel so last minute after making this commitment. I am very disappointed and feel that I am owed a refund.

Sincerely,
Amanda

This is really upsetting, I was seriously looking forward to the show in Portland, Oregon!

But there is one thing I would like to ask; will they be coming back around sometime again?

If so.. I am so there.

the reason they cancelled is the same reason a lot of bands who aren't as well known at this time of year do. i saw them blow up and own at coachella and was really looking forward to the vancouver show; but in the back of my head i expected a response like the one they received would entice them to scrap their opening spot for a headlining tour of their own. look at the date of the cancellation, one day after their gig at coachella. why slpit the pie if you can have the big piece for yourself.

Just look at all the gigs the band have done this year! They have been gigging pretty much non stop for two years!! Were they in the press at all in the states for partying too hard at Coachella? No!! Are they in the press in the uk for partying too hard there?? No!! They seem to me to be amazing musicians, who have a genuine love of music and playing live, if they need a rest, then they need a rest! Give them a break! Let them rest up in time for the summer, when i'm sure they will blow us all away playing live again!

So The Fratellis knew that they were opening for BRMC, thus Fratelli fans would be stiffed if they cancel. The least they can do is give comp tickets to anyone who is actually a forum member. It might only be twenty minutes to get to Paisley on the bus but three fricking hours drive for a no-show and no Ticketmaster notification is piss poor.

I just want to wish the band some good R&R.

I'm sad I didn't get to see you guys play here in AZ, but I'll be waiting for the next opportunity!
