| hey all :) ive just taken bass up recently and was looking through some fratellis video to see if i could pick up any tips from baz's playing technique, but i was wondering what is the silver bit over his pickups like in this pic (from pretty like a girl)  Uploaded with ImageShack.us what practical values does it have? whats is it called? i guess regardless of its actual use it looks pretty cool anyway, don't ya thing? haha! please excuse my ignoarance :) thanks :) |

| 'Ey up, Rocketfingers. It's just a pickup cover. They have them on Jazz & Precisions. Just to cover the pickup. Some say it affects the tone and reduces sustain, others say it makes no diff but looks cool/doesn't look cool. |
