| I still like how you take everything you say as gospel, meanwhile you created this other dimension where Baz and Mince are disgruntled and Jon's the mean fuck that pretty much went down hill after Costello Music. I still have yet to fathom why you still post on a Fratellis forum if everything that will be released is going to be as shite as you say. I'm sure those 'other' London bands have forums as well... | ||

I kinda saw them 30 odd times, hence it gives me a right to speak so openly. As a live band they were great. As a social scene it was great. I've met them on various occasions and they and their entourage were great. I guess I feel a bit sad that it won't happen anymore. And even if we argue a bit on this forum, most of them are amazing people. I've met most of the coolest people that post here. Even you Giz! I salute you all. Thanks for a brilliant time. It's a shame it had to come to an end. It's a Glasgow thing, and without trying to patronise you..ye widnae understaund :) So put that in yer pipe and smoke it! |

I'm met most of the coolest people that post here. cheers for the shoutout Pointing out a spelling mistake from a post made at roughly 4 AM is getting into the realms of navel gazing, and not to the point made. You's know what I meant. Thanks anyway :) |

| I have been away from the computer for a few days and wow look what has happened! Getting back to the original topic, I can't believe how some people, for example bean, have interpreted some of my comments. How can anyone think I am against Jon or that I think he broke up The Fratellis when I have called him a genius, said that he is bursting with creativity and have also stated that he is my favorite songwriter of all time? You say a few critical things and people act as if you don't have any business being a fan. I have even said that I don't have a problem with Jon working with other bands. My main point was that I think it is a mistake to put The Fratellis on hold indefinitely . Actually people are proving my point with some of the comments right here. As fans we have the power to decide what bands become popular. When we fall in love with a new band, for example The Fratellis, and then it is put on hold when it is really just getting started, it upsets people. People get mad and lose interest. People also usually don't like it when a band goes in a new direction as The Fratellis did with "Here We Stand." If Jon felt like he could not explore his versatility within the band it is no wonder he is working elsewhere. But it is still important, if you want to remain popular and be in demand to make recordings, to not abandon what made you famous in the first place. | ||

| Your post is full of contradictions. And hard to read at times, use the enter key now and then. I don't care who plays with Jon to play which tracks where. He wrote them, other people can perform them. Does it take anything away from the Fratellis? No, of course not, they're not performing as the Fratellis so why get your panties all in a bunch. Still trying to see if I can make the August show so I can actually give more of an informed opinion than a couple of vids on a website. |

| I agree with Gizmo's points. Leslie, of course you can speak freely, but what is the point in going over and over the same ground? It won't change anything, nor should it. |

I just find some of your posts hard to interpret; I was only asking for you to expand on some of the points you had made. As some of what you said, in my opinion, seemed a bit strange. I never said you were against Jon I just think you put an emphasis on the fact that it was "his" band. Even if you never directly said it parts of your posts imply it; at least that's the impression I have been given. Also, as Giz said try and split your posts into paragraphs- stops peoples eyes going fuzzy! |
