| This is Rubbish. I'm looking forward to the next Fratellis record,Jon's solo record,Baz's new project, Diablo or anything else Mince is involved in. We have 3 new songs (all for free) to listen to from Jon, plus a couple of snippets and a new video. Life is hard enough as it is. I'm gonna be happy to have ever had all this great music in my life. I'll pass on the shit sandwich :) | ||

| No we don't! In all honesty having 2 'others' in a band is not good. The reason why Joe Strummer left The Clash is because he died..and then he died again. properly. So, yeah, it's shit that the original bass player and drummer were treated like garbage, when everybody kinda loved them. And if anybody wants to shout at me, then you better shout very, very fucking loud:) It's like The Ramones never existed. And chill out! |

I also believe that a whisper is usually more effective than a shout ;) |

Every night I could see a good one, and usually do! |

Absolutely no need for that. I'm just trying to bring some debate around the table. Have you a view apart from giving me abuse? It's not like I could give a flying fuck anyway. |

| The debate rages on... First decent one in a while here so I'll add my two cents...(it may descend into a farcical ramble though) I was as gutted as anyone when I'd heard that The Fratellis had split, swiftly followed by Codeine Velvet Club, both of whom I had grown extremely attached to and was listening to almost every day, and that includes The Fratellis still to this day. I questioned what the fuck Jon was doing, especially when a solo MySpace was created with a mediocre at best tune put up in Bonnie & Clyde. Did I think he'd lost it? Yes. The other two tunes got uploaded and I was still uninspired but I still continued to listen to the Jon's previous work and was paying attention to what creative output was coming from him due to the time and tolerance I have for him. Noone was forcing me to like his new ventures and I certainly wasn't going to go and see him play if I didn't like his songs not buy, illegally download or whatever other forms you can do to obtain the album unless I wanted to. However, Dead Street Affair is brilliant and I've not stopped listening to it since it ventured its way onto my iPod and I have similar feelings for She's My Shaker and so I'm interested again. Jon is doing what he wants to do and very few people do nowadays, im just amazed at how Island are giving him all these album releases since 2 out of 3 have sold extremely poorly. Spandau Ballet hate each other and so do many other bands but its the money that keeps them together. If The Fratellis got back together when Jon, or Mince or Baz for that matter, didn't want to or didn't feel 100% keen on doing then I'd prefer they didn't. I believe that The Fratellis, Codeine Velvet Club and Jon's new solo project were created through sheer love for music with the people you play with and if Jon didn't feel that he had the passion for it with Lou then its fair enough in my view As long as the music is decent then I don't care who he does it with |

| Graham, hws didn't sell as poorly as you'd think for a second album. And cvc wasn't ever going to make big numbers. Jon is a precious commodity to Island. He regularly produces good music that will make them money in some way, be it touring or cd sales |
