It's been quite a journey so far, and I wish you all well in in what follows, musically and otherwise. The Fratellis brought a whole new aspect to my life, one I'll never forget. The band and music itself was immense, but the people on this forum stand out almost as much. This site grew a sense of community I'd never experienced on the net, and that's down to the band, the fabulous TF, and all of us. Thanks for the good times and the music! Stay happy! Mon Yous, Mon Us, But No Them! 'Mon the Fratellis!! Great post Amy - I've contributed to a lot of forums over the years and have met just a couple of people if any from each one. The amount of friends I've met through this forum at Fratellis/Figure 5 gigs is something I'll always remember. So to Drunk1, Shorty, Blair, Loko, Wee Mad Cow, Aldo, Flisskat, Mitch and the rest of you mentals - thanks for the memories! Mon the Fratellis! |

You guys stole my words :-( But I'd like to add: For music to develop and "not stay the same" people have to go on journeys, have new experiences, develop musically; so chin up guys who knows what might happen over the next few years! We don't want another album like the second do we?! Top guys. Top music & gigs. Top people. Top banter. Mon Yous Mon Us But No Them! "Here comes Bean a calling I killed them all!" |

| Sad to hear it, but I won't say I'm not surprised. Hope you feel like making some more music together later in life. You guys are the reason I really got into music, so thanks. It's been fun :) |

| Jon, Baz and Mince - Whether you are making music together are apart, I will always think of you three as brothers (even if the band had some other name). Thank you for not only the music but for being such decent human beings. I'm not uncrossing my fingers. Like Gizmo said, never say never. MTF!! |

| Where do I start, really? All the sentiments have already been spoken, but after just returning from Coachella hours ago I landed in London with a few texts declaring The Fratellis had split. Don't know if the timing was coincidence or what, but while on that long flight home, I had the iPod on shuffle, and even though I haven't listened to The Fratellis in a while, Dirty Barry Stole The Bluebird blasted into my headphones, probably around the time Jon posted this. Listening to that song, one I haven't heard in years brought back all the great memories and reminded me what a great awesome band The Fratellis are/were. Even though I haven't been around and declared my hate for HWS, The Fratellis and Costello Music along with all the outstanding b-sides during that period and that very first piece of genius 3 track EP were the soundtrack of my life for 2 years and some of the best music I've ever listened to. Not to mention all the great people I've ever had the privilige to meet and share some of the greatest times of my life with. You all know who you are, even though we've all drifted our seperate ways, I thank you all for the daft drunk fuelled ramblings and even a wedding God dammit!!! And last but not least, the boys themselves, all the photos you've let me take with you, all the CDs & vinyl you've ever signed, all the free gigs you've sorted for me, and looking after me in Carlisle along with everybody else and all the great music you've made! Cheers for everything! :) Think that's about it, all bases covered! Goodtimes! Goodluck x |

| Is this like reading your own obituary? It's still not actually confirmed and you're all acting like they're dead ;) Optimism 101: wait until the label actually confirms (and/or Jon/Baz/Mince[hah, right] actually says it in a post: WE SPLIT). |

Someone once said "Never say never, because you might; Never say you will because you might not". (Actually I think it was the old bass guitarist out of Status Quo - look what happened to him!) |

Who said internet dating was for peados and weirdos? Beats paying eHarmony or Match.com :) Liking Mince's new band's sound too. Oh that reminds me, time to put my new Black Mountain CDs onto my phone. The Fratellis are special, not in a retard 'speshual' way, but they're special to me. And the wife ;) Mince's new band is called 'Throne o' Diablo' and you can find them on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Throne-o-Diablo/239517394648) or Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/throneodiablo). They're also playing The Captain's Rest in Glasgow on Saturday May 1st. Check them out - you won't be disappointed. |

| the past few years have been amazing. seeing them live, listening for hours on end, meeting everyone on the forum, and barely being able to contain myself even when it was just a new b-side getting released. i understand that jon, barry, and mince all might need to take some time to follow whatever path they choose, but i hope that eventually they realize that they have a huge community of people that they brought together that worship them and would love to see them reunite. i enjoyed codeine velvet club, but only because hearing jon's voice and guitar playing reminded me of the fratellis. and no disrespect towards mince, but i couldn't even finish listening to the first song on the throne o'diablo myspace page and i'm not against metal at all. please consider reuniting in the next few years or sometime down the road and writing some of the greatest music this world has ever heard good luck with wherever the world takes you |

| Oh, I just heard this on Triple J in Australia (they put it a lot more grimly) and I almost cried! Hearing it from you Jon and Baz makes me less distressed, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing all your stuff outside The Fratellis. I would also just like to say thankyou thankyou thankyou! Your music got me through an otherwise grim last year of High School, and the prospect of one day being able to see you guys live had me always hoping - and I did! And I'm so glad I did, because you gave me the best concert experience I've ever been to and you gave me some great memories. I still remember hearing Flathead for the first time and absolutely LOSING it dancing around like a maniac in my bedroom. I then made all my friends listen to it, and heard a few days later that one of them had broken their bed from jumping/dancing on it too much. I think that's enthusiasm enough. |
